When our client in San Francisco first invited us to look at her kitchen, the space already had great potential. The layout worked, the cabinets were functional, and the kitchen had a warm, lived-in feeling. But visually, it was ready for a refresh.
The kitchen had a mix of white cabinet areas, wood-framed upper doors, glass inserts, exposed shelving, older hardware, and cabinet interiors that no longer matched the fresh, clean look the homeowner wanted. Like many San Francisco homeowners, the client wanted a kitchen that felt brighter, cleaner, and more modern — but without the cost, time, and disruption of tearing everything out and starting from zero.
That is where a smart kitchen refacing project made all the difference.
Instead of recommending a full remodel, we focused on what would create the biggest visual transformation while keeping the project practical and cost-effective. The goal was simple: give the kitchen a fresh new look, improve everyday functionality, and help the homeowner feel excited about the space again.
For this project, we designed a refreshed cabinet look using white flat-panel doors, new face frames, full overlay styling, updated hardware, soft-close hinges, soft-close drawer glides, and new dovetail rollouts. These details may sound small individually, but together they completely change how a kitchen looks and feels.
The white finish helped brighten the room and create a cleaner, more modern atmosphere. The full overlay design gave the cabinets a more updated appearance, while the soft-close doors and drawers added comfort and quality to daily use. We also worked on smart functional improvements, including rollouts, a microwave cubby refresh, under-cabinet lighting with dimmers, and touch-up work on the existing wood floating shelves so the final result felt balanced and intentional.
One of the best parts of this project was that the homeowner did not have to go through the stress of a long, expensive full kitchen remodel. With the help of our designer, project managers, and crew, the kitchen could be refreshed quickly and efficiently while still keeping the heart of the existing space.

Even better, the client was able to finance the project with 18 months of no-interest financing, making it easier to move forward with the kitchen refresh now instead of waiting years to make the change.
